The CommCat Packet interface is designed to work with old fashioned TNC or Packet Modem units. Only simple ASCII control protocol and text data are exchanged. From a quick look at the Rigblaster manual, there may be a way to use the AGW software between the Rigblaster and CommCat, but I suspect it probably won't work. Where do you want to use packet?

Hi Howard, I am using the advantage rigblaster it has 6 pin din that goes to cntl,n on the rigblaster from the back of the radio. was hoping to use packet on local packet node as its beging to get alot of intrest on our local nets again. I have also hooked up all the additional wires that go to rig blaster in hopes that would somehow connect something to help it recognise the machine. How can i configure CommCat to AGW? the error message i get is tnc not found.

I'm sorry I'm not more familiar with the Rigblaster Advantage. However, it looks like it supports the KISS-TNC protocol for using Packet. If that is the case, there is a good chance it will work with CommCat. I also see that a DVD is supplied with several Packet programs. I would try one of them to get a feel for it, then look in the Advantage manual for more info on how to use the KISS-TNC feature. CommCat expects to find a TNC connection on a serial port. You may also want to contact Rigblaster for their suggestions on how to emulate a TNC through a serial port.
