I'm pleased to welcome a number of new CommCat and CommCatLive users to the family. As a result of the review in the June issue of QST, I'm thrilled to see increased interest. If you have been with us for some time, please watch for new calls in the Active list and give newcomers a welcome on-the-air.

Watch for your copy of the June issue of QST Magazine to arrive in the mail. Steve Ford, WB8IMY, has written a 1-page review of CommCat in his Short Takes column. The review covers CommCatLive as well. This is the first time CommCat has been covered by QST.

The new World Activity Map is now integrated into the MyQSX site. Click the Activity Map page to see the new map, which now includes the latest DX spots, lines from each DX spot to the spotter, and nighttime shading. Use the map to get a quick overview of propagation around the world.

The DX pins are color coded for each band using the standard electronic color code. For example, a DX spot on 20 meters is shown with a red/black pin.

Night shading does not show on Internet ...

The MyQSX World Activity Map (http://myqsx.net/cclactivity) provides a quick way to see the current operating status of CommCatLive and QSXer users. As the number of users grows, the map is becoming much more interesting. I've seen times when there is absolutely nobody on, and other times when there have been more than 10. I've been thinking about ways to improve it, and have always had several enhancements on my to-do list. Now is the time to get some feedback.
