If you are using Avast! for your anti virus protection, their latest virus update is reporting that two files in CommCat are bad. Before you start CommCat, make these changes to Avast.

The following assumes you have the latest version of Avast 8.

1. Open Avast User Interface.
2. Click Security.
3. Click File System Shield.
4. Click Settings.
5. Click Exclusions.
6. Enter these two paths (Windows 64):

C:\windows\SysWOW64\ChilkatHTTP.dll
C:\windows\SysWOW64\ChilkatFtp2.dll ...

Effective immediately, the prices for CommCat plus CommCatLive, and CommCatLive upgrades or renewals are substantially reduced. The price for CommCat plus CommCatLive is now $69.95, down from $99.95. The price for upgrading CommCat with a CommCatLive subscription, or renewing CommCatLive for another year is $30, down from $60.

• Personal streaming home page on MyQSX.net showing current operating activity and much more
• Online

I will be moving the MyQSX.net site to a new server later this month. The move will result in faster response times and increased reliability compared to the existing server.

CommCat Live and QSXer accounts will not be affected, and access through a browser or CommCat Mobile will remain the same. A new version of CommCat will be released soon to interface with the new server.

I've been seeing increased interest in CommCat Mobile for the past few days, and I just found out why that may be. Leo Laporte's (W6TWT) web video cast Ham Nation featured CommCat Mobile in a segment describing iPhone apps this past week.
